Emergency Brake Assembly Rebuild
Sandblasted and repainted all of the individual parts that make up the emergency brake assembly. 5/20/2012.
Installed Rebuilt Rear Axles
I had new rear bearings pressed on the rear axles. They also dressed up the axles where the seals ride. Installed new seals. Installed the drums which I had turned. They are the originals and barely needed any cutting. 5/19/2012.
Brake and Clutch Pedal Rebuild
60 years of wear sure took its toll. Sandblasted all parts and repainted. Installed new bushings and a new main rod that both pedals pivot on. The clutch linkage was worn egg shaped. I welded it back up and re-drilled it. 5/5/2012 - 5/18/2012.
Front Brakes
Installed new front brake cylinders, springs, shoes, retainers, push pins, and adjusters. 4/29/2012.
Front Steering Assembly
Installed new king pins and bushings. The new bushings are built larger than the king pin diameter to allow for machining to a perfect fit. I had to take the spindles to a local machine shop to ream out the bushings. Added the brake backer plates. 2/8/2012.
Rear End Rebuild
Disassembled the rear end to give it a good and thorough cleaning. Everything looks good with no visible damage. Installed the rear axle to rear leaf springs. 1/22/2012
Installed Front I-Beam Axle
Installed the front axle onto the newly rebuilt leaf springs. New U-Bolts freshly painted. 1/21/2012
